Number Stories
There are also many stories that you can use when learning about number. You may already have access to some of these books and can alternatively search through ViewPure to find a suitable audio version.
Books exploring number include:
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar
- Ten in the Bed
- One is a Snail and Ten is a Crab
- Ten Little Pirates
- Five Little Ducks.
This is just a selection of books and there may be other books available such as specific counting books or other stories that involve number. You can also encourage counting through general reading with your child, for example, asking how many of a particular object they can see on a page.
