Online Classes During Coronavirus

Below is a list of online classes that are available during the current Coronavirus situation. Please click on the links below to take you to the direct websites and liaise with your child's class teacher to determine suitable activities.

 

These online classes are not run by school but some are programmes that are used in school or programmes/videos that school feel will be beneficial to support your child's home learning.

 

 

Oak National Academy

The Oak National Academy has launched an online specialist curriculum for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. The lesson content has been created by 20 teachers and therapists who work in special schools across the country. There are lessons for parents to access with their children who are working at varying levels and all content is free. If you are uncertain of which activity is appropriate then please liaise with your child's class teacher. The resources are available to access at anytime and many include the use of Makaton and symbols. Please click the link below to access the website.

Access Sport

Access sport are currently offering inclusive online classes that encourage varying physical activity. There is a full list of available online classes by following the link below. Please liaise with your child's class teacher if you wish to determine a suitable activity for your child and seek advice from their physiotherapist if appropriate.

Story Massage

Story Massage are currently delivering free online sessions on a Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm each week on their Twitter feed. This can be accessed through the main website.  Please see the schedule below for the next few weeks and over the holiday period.

Soundabout are currently delivering free online sessions on a Tuesday and Saturday at 2pm each week. 

 

 

Bumble Bee Physio- Free PE sessions with Hannah

Adapted PE Sessions called Bumble Bee Physio can be accessed by clicking on the above link. The Physio team nor the school can endorse it but we thought that some our parents/carers would like to take a look and see if is was something that might be interesting for their child. If you are unsure if it is right for your child then please seek advice from Physio.

The site have various adapted sessions and it is clear on the page before it starts what equipment they need etc. Some of the sessions are associated well known stories and films such as 'Toy Story', 'Peppa Pig' and 'The Lion King'.

 

 

Positive Eye- The Idea Machine Story Time Session 

Positive eye are streaming a live online story session every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 4pm through Facebook. Those who join in with the live story are encouraged to create crafts and props associated with the chosen story that week.

The Sensory Spectacle

The Sensory Spectacle are streaming online classes via their Facebook page on a Monday and Thursday at 2pm. Sessions so far have included creating a dinosaur swap and a sensory bottle. There is a four week plan of activities outlined on their website.

Jensory

Jensory is a Youtube channel offers three online classes each week that are part of a weekly theme. 'Messy Monday's' include a messy play activity, 'Wow Wednesday's' include a sensory based activity and 'Fun Friday's' offer interactive music sessions. Themes that have been explored so far include: pirates, nature, seaside, water and the rainforest. Previous classes are available to watch.
