There are many different ways in which you can explore shape at home with your child. See some examples below.

Activities include:

providing the opportunity to experience/handle a variety of different shaped objects and show preference for them
using shape sorters/shape posting activities
shape inset puzzles
printing with different shaped objects and paint
shape hunt/shape match
talking about shapes in the environment, e.g. square window, circle tyre
building with various shaped bricks
