Working with Professionals
Other Professionals who work in the Early Years Department
Staff work closely with a number of professionals who advise us on strategies to support children where appropriate.
As in any setting, the professionals working with each pupil depends on the professional that may be linked to them . For example, it may include: Physiotherapist, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, support from Sensory Inclusion Service, School Nurse, Support Assistant for EAL (English as an additional language).
The aim of of our work with professionals is that staff and also parents/carers have enhanced knowledge and skills. This is to enable the professional advice to be carried out and integrated into the pupil's education and everyday life where it is appropriate, rather than through individual therapy/professional sessions.
